For many people, their home will be their most valuable asset, and the place they spend most of their time. If you want to create a warmer, drier home, reduce your environmental impact or save money on running costs, engaging an Eco Design Advisor is a great way to begin. What’s involved in an EDA visit?
A room-by-room assessment is made, looking at a wide range of areas. This includes, where heat is being lost or gained – insulation, windows and draughts. Then comes heating, and how to best utilise energy from the sun. There will be attention to moisture sources and how to best manage them – including ventilation. The hot water system will be assessed and recommendations made if necessary. At the end you will receive a list of prioritised recommendations to improve the performance of your home.
One of our key points of difference is our independence. EDAs don’t sell products. They provide impartial advice relating to heating, insulation and ventilation – tailored to meet your individual needs.
